BANQUETS

Our banquets are experimental and ceremonious food gatherings. They serve the purpose of being nourishing, they shape themselves around feminist texts that inspire us and are co-created amongst participants. This activity is a part of the resort internal program.

Kollaborative Survial Kimchi 
2025
Our reading group sat with the chapter Tentacular Thinking from Staying with the Trouble by Donna Haraway. The research evolved over a series of months into experimenting with fermentation techniques available to us in the tropics. 

The team was made up of AURÉLIE CALOU, ALIYA CHOJOO, GLENN ESPINOSA, ISABELLE CHOWREE, MATI JHURRY, MEHA DESAI, VICTORIA DESVAUX, KAREN PANG, KIM YIP TONG, NAOMI RAJOO, GLORIA VIVIEN & ANNABELLE AH CHONG.

This research was supported by Kareron food research project, Moka 2025.


Carrier Bag 
2024
Inspired by the Carrier Bag theory of Fiction by Ursula K Le Guin. This banquet took place at enntibwa in Nouvelle France, Mauritius.
